October, 2007 – Prof. Rudolf Leger from University of Frankfurt delivered four lectures: "The 'Urheimat' of the Proto-Hamitic/Afrasian Speaking Peoples and Their Early Migrations with Specific Reference to the Chadic Speaking Groups", "An Overlook about the Kwami and its Pecularities ('Northern' Bole-Tangale Group)", "Methods of Linguistic Field Research", and "Verbal Classes and Middle Voice - West Chadic and Fulfulde (a Comparative Approach)".

Visits Yakubu Magaji

October - November, 2008 – Yakubu Magaji Azare, M.A., from the Department of Nigerian Languages, Bayero University, Kano was attached to the Department and continued his research on „A Morpho-Semantic Study of Hausa Concrete Deverbal Forms”. On 20th October he presented the results of his work during the staff meeting.
